Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Kersey, age 75, will be held at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday September 5, 2018 at the Garnto-Logue Cemetery with Rev. Sammy Hall and Rev. Lamar Kersey officiating.

Mrs. Kersey was born August 9, 1943 in Dublin, Georgia; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late Hillary Lewis Smith and Wanelle S. Anderson, her husband, G. C. Kersey and a sister, Annette Smith Kyzer. She retired after 23 years of Food Service from the Johnson County Board of… Read More » Education and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion. She was of the Nazarene faith.

Mrs. Kersey passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018. She is survived by her children, Grayson Cephus (Jenny) Kersey and Tracy Kersey of Wrightsville and Toni (Mike) Myers of North Augusta, SC, a sister, Jeanelle Day of Macon, two half-sisters, Marlene Johnson and Shirley Birchmore both of South Carolina, a half-brother, Sidney Smith of South Carolina and five grandchildren, Charla Hightower, Dustin Hightower, Colton Kersey, Madison Kersey and Dakota Prince. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Paul Sterling, Nathan Oliver, Keith Claxton, Todd May, Weldon Thomas and Chris Pope. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
