Walter Lee Townsend, age 84 of East Dublin, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018. Mr. Townsend was the son of the late Otis and Mozell Townsend. He was also preceded in death by his wives, Audrey Townsend and Virginia Gilbert Townsend.

Walter was a retired carpenter and a dedicated husband and father. He was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include his children, Norma Townsend, Bruce (Dale) Townsend, all of East Dublin, Siblings; Foy (Dean) Townsend, Charles Townsend, Roy Townsend Bobby (Sue) Townsend, Shelly (Wallace) Reynolds, Evie (Jim) Mathis, Mavis Townsend, Faye Cameron and several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
