Funeral services for Mr. Herman Talmadge Price, Sr., age 70, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Gumlog Primitive Baptist Church with burial to follow at the church cemetery. Rev. Burton Dixon will officiate.

Mr. Price was born March 25, 1947 in Kite, Georgia; he was preceded in death by his parents, the late James Leonard Price and Oris Tapley Price, two brothers, Hubert Price and Monroe Price and a great-granddaughter, Paislee Claire Francis. He was a member of… Read More » Gumlog Primitive Baptist Church and he was the retired owner of Smith-Sheppard Supply Company in Sandersville, Georgia. Mr. Price passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 following an extended illness.

He is survived by his sons, Herman Talmadge Price, Jr. of Kite, a daughter, Kay Star Price of Kite, three sisters, Joyce Moore of Kite, Gratice Fortner of Kite, Betty Jo Wheeler of McDonough, five grandchildren, April Price of East Dublin, Kade Shiver of Kite, Anaye Shiver of East Dublin, Jodi Price of Vidalia and Chris Anderson of Kite, five great-grandchildren, Alexis Fordham, Britlyn Shiver, Maverick Giddens, Titus Anderson and Kimber Carter and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ray Purvis, Tanny Purvis, Chris Hilson, Guy Fortner, Kade Shiver and Glenn Price.

Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
