Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Pollett, age 80, will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Moore’s Chapel United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Westview Cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Watkins and Rev.

Greg Johnson will officiate. Mrs. Pollett was born December 16, 1937 in Minor Hill, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Irmer Austin Boyd and Beulah Croley Boyd and her husband, Buford Jordan Pollett.

She was a member of Moore’s Chapel United… Read More » Methodist Church and was always a strong advocate of Johnson County 4-H. Mrs. Pollett began her teaching career in Campbellsville, Tennessee before retiring from Johnson County Board of Education. During her career, she also taught in Collins, Kite and Adrian.

Mrs. Pollett passed away Friday, February 2, 2018. She is survived by a son, Buford Boyd (Fidelia) Pollett, two granddaughters, Izabella and Agatta Pollett all of Tulsa, Oklahoma and two sisters, Martha Rene Hannah and Mable Merritt both of Pulaski, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, February 5, 2018 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Carroll Pollett, Patrick Pollett, Ashley Pollett, Jay Hewitt, Mike Merritt and Tommy Merritt. Honorary escorts will include the Johnson County Retired Educators Association, past & present members of Johnson County 4-H and Cub Scout Pack 501. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
