Graveside funeral services for Gene Edison Holmes, age 79 will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Graham Memorial Church of the Nazarene Cemetery. Rev. Donnie Baker will officiate.

Mr. Holmes was born September 11, 1938 in Brewton, Georgia. He was the son of the late Emory and Ethel Whitfield Holmes. He was a retired pulp tester at Southeast Paper Company.

He was a member of East Dublin Baptist Church. Mr. Holmes passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018 at his residence. Mr.… Read More » Holmes is survived by his son, Michael G. Holmes of East Dublin, a daughter, Donna Holmes (Chuck) Odom of Dudley, 2 sisters, Barbara Ann Calhoun of Kibbee, and Joyce Foskey of Rockledge, 5 grandchildren, Justin Holmes, Matt Holmes, Calob Holmes, Cody Odom, and Logan Odom, and 5 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Graham Memorial Church of the Nazarene Cemetery. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
