Obituary of Cheryl Ashcroft Redlark CHERYL ASHCROFT REDLARK Oregon- Cheryl Ashcroft Redlark of White City, Oregon, suddenly passed away on September 11, 2018 at the age of 72 from an unexpected heart attack. Cheryl was born on June 26, 1946 from John and Ruth Ashcroft (Folsum) in Troy, where she lived most of her childhood years. She was blessed with 5 siblings, dear to her heart with love, humor and friendship.

Cheryl will be forever dancing with her beloved eldest brother Johnny who passed on April 23, 2018; Cheryl and Johnny leave behind their sisters Barbara Lampariello and Judy Geary Rock and their brothers Gary & Bonnie Ashcroft and Vincent & Larisa Daniele and Johnny’s wife Barbara Ashcroft. She moved to California in her early 20’s and met James Redlark in 1968 at W.T. Grant Company in Covina, Ca. Shortly after, the two married and had Michelle (Shelly) Redlark Rogers & James (Jim) Redlark Jr. The family moved to Lake Tahoe, where Cheryl & James successfully started Carrier Communications, which brought cable to the NV side in Lake Tahoe, Cave Rock Area.

In 1996, she became a grandmother, where her heart was devoted to her grandchildren, Jimmy, Derek, Rylan and Alyssa. She was extremely proud, and her priority was always spending time with them. They would tell stories, jokes, cook and play silly games.

Her grandchildren came to know her as “Grandma y Legs”, an inside joke that only they understood. Cheryl met her lover, significant other & best friend John Norris while living in Carson City, NV. They moved to So.

Oregon in 2007 and bought their home in White City where they spent their days loving & caring for one another & their dogs, Cooper, Joey & Kix. Cheryl was our best friend and the most giving, loving and beautiful woman. She raised the most amazing family and words can’t express her love, familial devotion and charisma.

We will always remember her love of Elvis & her crazy 1950’s dance moves. If Cheryl could give any last words she would say ” You could spend 30 seconds a day to call and say I Love You” & to spend as much time as you can with your loved ones, as you never known when it’s your time; family is all you really have. Services will be announced at a later date.
