Obituary of Janet Sullivan JANET E. SULLIVAN Latham-Janet E. Sullivan, 74 of Latham, beloved wife of Michael Sullivan for over 53 years, died Sunday September 30, 2018 at St. Peter’s Hospital, in Albany. Born in Amsterdam, on July 22, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Viola (Schmid) Wakeley and was raised in South Glens Falls. She married John Michael Sullivan on April 18, 1965.

She was a graduate of South Glens Falls High School class of 1962. She and her husband resided in Calexico, CA and Buffalo, NY before settling in Latham in 1973. She was a bookkeeper with PHAC Products in Albany for many years prior to her retirement.

Janet was a life member of the Verdoy Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary where she had held the position of Trustee and was the two-time recipient of the Sylvia Dill Memorial Award. She was an active volunteer at Hope Club for many years in Latham. Survivors in addition to her husband include her loving daughter Beth (Tony) DiLello, her brother Bill (Nora) Wakeley, her sister Cathy (the late Roy) Mitchell, her sister-in-law Linda Wakeley as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

She was predeceased by her brother Gary Wakeley. Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday October 3, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham with a service at 6:00 p.m. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Donations to the Hope Club 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110 in memory of Janet would be appreciated.
