Chester Lance, 89, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away Friday, November 2, 2018 at Linda E. White Hospice House. Chet was born in Evansville, Indiana on October 17, 1929 to the late William Albert and Rose Marie (Bush) Lance. He was a graduate of Central High School.

Chet retired from Kent Plastics after 41 years of service. He was passionate about anything technical and loved to use the computer for research. Chet was involved with Bethel Church and Bible Fellowship Hour for Seniors.

Chet… Read More » is survived by his wife of 15 years, Rhoda Lance of Newburgh, IN; daughter, Vickie Gish (Dennis) of Henderson, KY; grandchildren, Dana Wright (Kevin), Jamie Baumgart (John Heeger), Patrick Murray (Stacey Daley), and Gregory Rust; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Hunter, Ethan, Rence, Duncan, Grace, and Connor; and two great-great-grandchildren. Chet was preceded in death by his first wife of 52 years, Dora Lou Lance; daughter, Lana Hutchison; son-in-law, Greg Hutchison; his parents; sisters,Verda Robertson and Jeri Marotz; brothers, James, Lester, Albert, and Charles Lance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave.

, Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor David Schwambach officiating. Burial will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 10:00 AM until service time on Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Plus, 610 E Walnut St., Evansville, IN 47713 for all of their care and devotion to Chet and Rhoda.
