Chester Knight, 87, of Knox passed away peacefully on September 11, 2018 at the Shippenville Rehab & Nursing Center. Born on May 24, 1931 in Knox, Chester was the son of the late Henry and Pearl Knight. Chester went to school at Central School in Beaver Township.

He worked at Bracken Construction, McCoy Gas Pump Station and farmed all his life. Chester was a member of the Clarion County Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephew, hunting and fishing, listening to country music, his pets and spending time on the farm.

Chester is survived by his sisters Bonnie Benninger of Knox, Connie & Terri Ruth of Lamartine and Carolynn Knight of Lamartine, a brother Terri and Pam Knight of Knox, his nieces and nephews Julie (Don) Combs of Knox, Shelly (Ed) Ruth of Lamartine, Lisa (Nelson) Cotherman of Knox, Staci (Mike) Fyock of Brookville, Shirley (Pat) Carol of Marble, great niece and nephew Andrew (Amanda) Ruth and Megan Cotherman and longtime friend and coworker Larry Travis Chester was preceded in death by his parents, two brother Jack and Tom Knight, two nephews Jason and Fred Knight, nephew in law Dallas Raybuck. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm on Friday Sept. 14, and 10 to 11 am Saturday, Sept.

15 at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home Inc., 504 East Penn St., Knox. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Ron Hunsberger of the St. Marks Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Knox Union Cemetery.
