Cheyenne Nicole Height , age 16, of Elwood, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 10, 2019 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital following a recent illness. She was born on January 17, 2003, to Shane Height and Amber (Brough ) Height. Cheyenne was a sophomore at Elwood Junior-Senior High School.

She was a member of the Mighty Panther Marching Band and had received recognition for competing in ISSMA competitions. She liked to camp and fish, enjoyed doing makeup and hair and enjoyed working on cars with her father. Cheyenne had a great love for music and was a very compassionate and selfless person.

She loved spending time with all of her friends. Cheyenne is survived by her mother and step-father Amber Height and Mitch Coots of Elwood, father and step-mother, Shane Height and Tonya Durham of Russell Springs, KY, siblings, Jordan Height, Christine Craig, Kaytlinn McClaren, Skyler Mullins, Madison Vandevelde, Blake Vandevelde, step sister, Monica Coots, and step brother, Dylan Coots , maternal grandmother and step-grandfather Teresa and Baldev Singh, paternal grand parents, Loretta Thompson, Kelly Brinkman, Barry Height, and Dwain Barker, great grandmothers, Deloris Watson and Delores Morgan, great grandfather, Wayne Tomlinson, Jr., aunts and uncles, Dwain Barker, Jr., Anthony Barker, Elizabeth Brough, and Donald Peters, Jr., and several cousins, other family members and friends who will all dearly miss her. Cheyenne was preceded in death by 2 grandfathers, Timothy Brough and Donald Peters, Sr., 2 great grandfathers, Robert Groover and Paul Thompson, great grandmother, Judith Tomlinson, and brother, Kevin Martin, Jr. A funeral service celebrating Cheyenne’s life will be at conducted at 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Indiana with Pastor Mike Beeman officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 15, 2019, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to Dunnichay Funeral Home. Online condolences can be given at www.
