Christina Angel Gascon Esparza was born June 24th, 1934 in Leon, Guanajuato Mexico. On Sunday, April 29th, 2018, “Chris” went home at 4:40 p.m., just in time to make 5:00 mass in Heaven. She was 83 years old.

Chris was the youngest of 16 children, born to Juan and Natalia Gascon. She was raised in Wichita, KS primarily, by her mother, as her father Juan passed when she was just 2 years old. Growing up she loved hanging out with her siblings and going to dances with her friends.

She worked at Cudahay Meat Factory until she met the love of her life, Edward Esparza at a Mexican dance in Wellington, KS. They were married within the year. On Feb 20th, 2018 they celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary.

Christina lived her life as a devout Catholic. Chris was preceded in death by her parents and her eight brothers and seven sisters. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Edward Esparza Sr. of OKC; her four children, Natalie Esparza Branum (Bob) of OKC, Monica Esparza Myers (Steve) of OKC, Teresa Esparza Loveless (Tom) of Austin, TX, and Edward Esparza Jr. of OKC; grandchildren, Duncan, Cameron and Lara Branum; Melissa Rainbolt and Michael Rainbolt, Melanie Yaffe and Mandi Myers; Andrew Loveless, Hannah Loveless, Alexander Loveless, Austin Loveless, Addison Loveless; and 10 great grandchildren, including great grandson Alex Loveless.

Christina loved her family deeply and will be missed deeply in return.
