Christine Annette Blondeau January 11, 1940 – January 05, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Christine Annette Blondeau, 78, of Fayetteville, Ark. , passed away on January 5, 2019, at her home. Christine was born on Jan.

11, 1940, the daughter of the late Maude Amanda Bryan Blondeau and Ernest Eugene Blondeau. She was an accomplished potter, delighting her family with custom-made mugs when she worked for Frankoma Pottery in the 1960s. She had a full potter’s studio in her basement, where she patiently taught her young nieces and nephews how to craft items with clay, then glazed and fired their creations in her on-site kiln.

Christine managed several rental properties that catered to students and faculty of the University of Arkansas, where her mother had a career as a math professor. She was a lifelong animal lover and owned several cats. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Ernest Eugene Blondeau, Jr., of Tucson, Ariz.

, and Wayne Blondeau, who split his time between Alaska and Panama. Christine is survived by her brother, John Pierre Blondeau of Houston, Texas; sister-in-law Evelyn Carole Summers Blondeau McCune, of League City, Texas; sister-in-law Lois Blondeau, of Boulder, Colorado; several nieces and nephews; and longtime family friends Dionne and Bobby Ullom, and Carmyn Pitts and her daughter, Lisa Banks, all of Fayetteville, who had served as caregivers in her final years. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan.

19, 2019, at the South Hill Church of Christ in Fayetteville, Arkansas, followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall. Brother Scott Gage will officiate the service. Christine will be interred in the family plot at Washington Cemetery, in Houston, Texas, near her parents and other relatives.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home 3926 Willowood Avenue Springdale, Arkansas 72762. Donations can be made in Christine’s name to Fayetteville Animal Services, 1640 S. Armstrong, Fayetteville, Ark. , 72701, (479) 444-3456.
