Christine L. “Chris” Meyer, 65, of Richfield, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, June 7, 2018. Chris was born on August 28, 1952, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Phyllis (nee Tell) and Arlen Ortlieb. Chris loved her children and grandchildren.

She also loved music, baking, and movies. Everyone called her mom whether they were related or not. Chris spent many years caring for others.

Those Chris leaves behind to cherish her memory include two children, Wendy Meese and Charles Meyer; two grandchildren, Aleigha and Logan Rampson; a brother, Paul Ortlieb; three sisters, Kathy Crandall, Sandy (Bob) Poenitsch, and Susie Kelnhofer; nieces and nephews, Nina, Justin (Laura), Jacob, Nick, Kimmi, Corie, Andy, Ashley, and Brandon; other relatives and friends. Chris was preceded in death by a son, Joe “Joey” Meese and her mother, Phyllis Ortlieb. Funeral services for Chris will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 140 North 7th Avenue, in West Bend, with Rev.

David Schoob officiating. Chris’ family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. The Myrhum Patten Miller and Kietzer Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Chris’ arrangements.
