Obituary for Christine Rice (Horvath) Christine Renee Rice, 54, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with her Lord, on Saturday, September 15, 2018. She was born on August 4, 1964, the daughter of Judy Lutz. Christine was a graduate of Gull Lake High School and later received her degree as a medical assistant.

She enjoyed people and being able to help them while making a living. She was a very loving woman with a big heart and she was always willing to help a friend, take a youngster under her wing and she treated everyone as kindly as she would like to be. Christine was a former member of the American Legion and a current member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Battle Creek.

She was very active and loved to be outside. Christine loved to ride her motorcycle, go kayaking, tubing, and attend live music shows with her friends. Christine is survived by her only Son, Garrett Rice; “Adopted children,” Dylan Daniels, Ryan Allen, Daniel Sams, and Kevin Kelly; Very close friends, John “Doe Doe” Penny, Sheila McGhee, Missy Beene, Steve Stewart, Annie Siegfried, Fern Perkins, and so many more.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Lutz and her Husband and soul mate, Mike Rice. A gathering of friends and family will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 19757 Capital Ave NE, on Sunday, September 23, 2018, at 2:00p.m.. with a final ride from the Eagles to Rendezvous and back to Eagles for further celebration.
