Obituary for Gladys Johnson (Elliott) Gladys Louise Johnson, 92, of Battle Creek, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018. She was born April 5, 1926 in Patoka, IN the daughter of John and Emma (Slaughterback) Elliott. She retired from Ralston Foods after 9 plus years of service.

After her retirement, Gladys wintered in Florida for many years. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and spending time with her family. Gladys always looked forward to going on cruises with her sister Alice and friend Helen.

She loved her dog, Buffy, whom was a good companion to her for many years. She is survived by her children, Clifford (Nancy) Johnson; sister, Alice Evans; 5 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; many great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Johnson; 3 grandchildren; and siblings, Hazel, Victoria, Horace, Clarence, Charlie, Lawrence, George “Arthur”, Mary, and Clyde.

Visitation will be held at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service on Friday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with the funeral service to immediately follow at 12:00 PM. Burial will take place at the Bedford Cemetery in Bedford Township, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
