Dora H. Gould, age 91, of Battle Creek, passed away on October 25, 2018. She was born on February 2, 1927 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Clarence and Estella (Nichols) Howard. Dora graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1945.

Dora was united in marriage on November 8, 1948 to Albert F. Gould Jr., to whom she was married to for nearly seventy years. She was previously employed as a switchboard operator for TransAmerica Insurance, Union Electric Company as a secretary, a waitress at several area restaurants in Battle Creek, and most recent as a hostess at the Battle Creek Country Club. Dora was a lifelong member of Sonoma United Methodist Church.

Dora was also a 4-H leader, and enjoyed sewing, mushroom hunting, horses, gardening, the family farm, spending time with her grandchildren and family, and traveling with her husband the United States. She especially enjoyed traveling to her husband’s Air Force Reunions. She was preceded in death by her parents; Clarence and Estella, husband; Albert F. Gould Jr, sister; Cora Beebe, brothers; Clarence “Bud” and Donald Howard.

Dora is survived by her daughters; Linda (Gary) Conover of Niles, Ellen “Petey” Chamberlain of East Leroy, brother; Calvin Howard of Battle Creek, grandchildren; Katie Murray, Kellie (Brian) Welch, Jason Laske, Jesse Keagle and their beloved cat; Toby Allen. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services, with funeral services to follow at 11:30 at the funeral Home. Interment will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
