Obituary for Sherri Major (Vinton) Sherri Lynn Major, 56, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away after a long sickness on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. She was born on September 23, 1962, the daughter of Joseph Earl Vinton and Beverly Ann (Bowser) Vinton. Sherri graduated top of her class from Western Michigan University with a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy.

Sherri is survived by her Husband of 19 years – Terry Lee Major; Two Step-Sons, Jon (Erin) Major, Tim Major; Sister, Cindy (Todd) Bontrager; Two Grandsons, Adam Major, Josh Major and her Best Friend and Dog Companion, Niko. She was preceded in death by her Father, Joseph Earl Vinton, Mother, Beverly Ann Vinton and Step-Father, Roger Teffler. Sherri was an avid reader, it didn’t take long before she was lost in a good book.

She had a passion for decorating and making crafts with her hands. In her earlier years, Sherri enjoyed biking on the tour, kayaking and spending time up north exploring with her husband, Terry. Sherri was a very smart lady that enjoyed furthering her education and receiving her different educational degrees.

She will truly be missed by her family, friends and all that knew her. A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date. Memorials may be made to: Humane Society of Southwest Michigan.
