Marion W. Aycock, age 90, of Battle Creek, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018. He was born December 20, 1927 in Hickory, Mississippi the son of Joseph Terrell and Eunice (Williams) Aycock. Marion graduated from Hickory High School and married his high school sweetheart Madeline Redditt.

They were married for over 50 years prior to her death on April 13, 2004. He was also preceded by his daughter Tammy Bach and two sisters: Terrell Jeanette Gregory and Sara Bruce. Marion served in the U.S. Army during WWII and retired from the Federal Center in 1987 after more than 40 years of service.

Surviving is his son Terry (Marcia) Aycock; grandson Justin “Jay” Aycock; two granddaughters: Megan (Wesley) Fobear and Traci Bach, and great-granddaughter Taylor Olier; as well as several nieces and nephews. Marion loved the Alabama Crimson Tide, was an avid golfer working at Binder Park Golf Course following his retirement and enjoyed vegetable gardening and tinkering in his pole barn. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Rev.

Dr. James Gysel officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Grace Hospice or Humane Society of South Central Michigan. The family would like to thank his many caregivers including Countryside Senior Living where he resided the past 2 ½ years. www.
