Christopher Nolan Michael Lawrence, 14, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born December 8, 2004, in Springdale, AR, he was the son of Larry and Catherine Rawlinson Lawrence of Boiling Springs, SC. Christopher was a student at Boiling Springs Middle School and a member of Encounter Church in Gaffney, SC where he was involved with the church Youth Group.

He loved fishing, music, gaming, and spending time with family and friends. His keen sense of humor made his family laugh daily. In addition to his parents, survivors include his brother, Jordan Lawrence of Greenville, SC; biological mom, Sarah Elizabeth Guthrie Lawrence of Arizona; grandfather, Michael Guthrie of California; great-grandmother, Bonnie Geer of Tulsa, OK; grandfather, Jeff Gorman of Broken Arrow, OK; half-brother, AJ Hall of California; nephew, Avala Hall; aunts and uncles, Melody Hale (Christopher) of Broken Arrow, OK, Hannah Gurzi (Ryan) and Rachel Carney (Beau), all of Tulsa, OK, Larry Rawlinson (Sandy) of Kansas City, MO, and Suzanne Shirley of Georgia; and many cousins.

He was predeceased by his grandmother, Susan Lawrence Gorman; and grandparents, Hubert Rawlinson (Marjorie) and Clifford Lawrence (Betty). Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 27, 2019, at Encounter Church, 1905 N. Limestone St., Gaffney, SC 29340, by Sr. Pastor Joey Turner and Pastor Adrian Ramirez.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation, 747 Third Avenue, 33rd Floor, New York, NY 10017; or the American Association of Suicidology/National Center for the Prevention of Youth Suicide, 5221 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20015.
