Alice Nasr November 30, 1928 – January 20, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book (nee Abuzalaf) Peacefully passed away on January 20, 2019 surrounded by family and friends at the age of 90. Loving wife of the late Kahlil Nasr Adoring mother of Wafa (Michel Aboul-Zelof), cherished sister of Laurice (Jamil) Dawood, Nana (Wendel) Feiter, Shafiq Abuzalaf and Rafiq Abuzalaf. Loving grandmother of Eric, Leanne, Marwan (Marci), Mazen, Mo and great-grandmother to Noah and Shaya.

Survived by a countless number of relatives and friends across the globe. A true angel on earth, Alice showed love and kindness to all she met. She proudly introduced Middle Eastern culture and food to Milwaukee through opening Abu’s Jerusalem of the Gold with her husband in 1977.

She welcomed all without judgment, offering optimism and comfort to anyone in need. Throughout her life, Alice remained an active member of multiple associations including the Midwest Federation of the American-Syrian Lebanese clubs, American Syrian Lebanese Clubs of Milwaukee, Spielmannszug Drum and Bugle, and in 2006 was nominated ‘Woman of the Year’. A member of St. George Melkite Church and St. Charbel Maronite mission, Alice was a woman of strong faith, courage and strength and will be missed tremendously.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 25 from 5:00 to 8:00PM at Feerick Funeral Home, 2025 E Capitol Dr., Shorewood, WI 53211, with a prayer service at 7:00PM. Mass of Christian Burial, honoring Alice’s life, will take place on Saturday, January 26 at 10:30AM at St. George Melkite Church, 1617 W State St., Milwaukee, WI 53233. Alice will then be laid to rest at Wisconsin Memorial Park next to her beloved husband Khalil Nasr.
