Betty Sue Stanley Eubanks, 89, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, January 18, 2019 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born February 9, 1929 in Whitney, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Richard and Ethel Lee Allen Stanley and the widow of Billy Bowen Eubanks. Betty’s love of her family kept her at home raising her children and taking care of her family.

She was a member of First Baptist Spartanburg where she and Bill were volunteers at The Helping Center for over 25 years. She proudly crocheted over 200 hats for Gibbs Cancer Center. She prepared many delicious meals for the original Marshall Tucker Band during their recording sessions in Moore, SC.

Survivors include her daughter, Judy Griggs and her husband, Darrell of Spartanburg, SC; her son, Jerry Eubanks, and his wife, Cathy of Inman, SC; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and her sister, Doris “Dot” McCraw of Spartanburg, SC. She was also predeceased by four sisters and a brother. Services will be privately held.
