Clarence “Bunny” Brown, age 74, of Redby, Minnesota passed away on May 4th, 2018 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on July 24, 1943, the son of Joseph David and Cecelia (Loud) Brown in Red Lake, MN. Clarence grew up and attended school in Red Lake.

After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and spent three years serving his country before returning to Redby, MN. Clarence worked various jobs throughout his life but his favorite days were after his retirement. He spent his days relaxing at home with his great grandson Alex, watching sports and reading the newspaper.

Clarence enjoyed listening to music, attending pow-wows and was an avid fan of the “Red Lake Ogichidaag”. He will be missed dearly. Family that he joins are his parents; Joseph and Cecelia Brown, daughter; Melodie, brothers; Edward “Pat”, Myron, McKinley and Elmer Brown, sisters; Charlotte and Hazel Brown and Winifred Juarez, grandchildren; Cynthia Faye Morrison-Brown and Cameron Joseph Brown, god-daughter and niece; Alana Brown and nephew; Peter Juarez.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 50 years; Mully (Howard) Brown, son; Virgil (Bev) Brown of Redby; daughters; Nikki and Emily Brown of Redby, grandson and great grandson that he helped raise; Nicholas Brown and Alex Kingbird, 13 other grandkids, eight other great grandkids, nieces, nephews and other family members. An overnight Wake for Clarence will begin at 1:00 p.m., Monday May 7th at the Redby Community Center in Redby, MN. It will continue there until his 1:00 p.m. funeral service at the St. Antipas Episcopal Church in Redby, MN.

Reverend Johnson Loud, Jr. will officiate. Pallbearers for Clarence will be Gilbert Juarez, Nicholas Brown, Charlie Cloud, Vincent Brown, Sheldon Brown, Virgil Brown, Dustin Brown and William Cloud. His honorary pallbearers are Allen Brown, Willard YellowBird, all his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in the St. Antipas Episcopal Cemetery at Redby, MN following services at the church. Clarence’s care has been entrusted to Northern Peace Funeral Home of Walker. Online condolences for the family may be left at www.
