Obituary for Clarideen Nichols Clarideen Giles Nichols, 93, widow of Rufus A. Nichols, passed away September 24, 2018. A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late John William and Ethel Odell Westmoreland Giles, she was the owner and manager of Merle Norman Cosmetic Studios in Kannapolis, Concord and China Grove, North Carolina and a member of Ruhamah United Methodist Church, Starr, South Carolina. Surviving are one daughter, Teresa Ann Ross of Anderson; a brother, Donald Giles of St. Petersburg, Florida; two grandchildren, Annette Wilson and Angela Marshall; and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Nichols was predeceased by one daughter, Susan Nichols; three brothers, Theron Giles, Kenneth Giles and Sanford Giles and five sisters, Mauvoreen Goodwin, Barbara Ann Ruevello, Goldie Barron, Revolee Thomason and Eleanor Stover.
