Obituary for Clark Gilbert Hoover Born in Preston County, West Virginia to Katherine and Gilbert Hoover on May 30, 1946. In high school he was the star of his basketball team and made all-state both his junior and senior year, and was supposedly a high flying slam dunker (stated but never verified). After completing high school, he was drafted to the United States Navy in April 1968, served four years and was honorably discharged.

He then moved to Georgia and married Carolynn and had two sons, Eddie and Danny Hoover. His life then took him to Colorado where he met Katherine Koester, they were married and had two children, Alison and Clark Hoover Jr (CJ). He started working in many banking institutions and eventually started his own mortgage company.

His life was then consumed with the active lives of Alison and CJ’s sporting events. He loved to have backyard BBQs, coach softball, go on family camping adventures, hunt with his closest friends, and watch the Colorado sports teams mostly fail, except for those three Bronco super bowls. Clark was the glue that brought people together and always made everyone feel included.

He loved the holidays and his granddaughters and had an undying devotion to sons and daughter. He was a humble man from humble upbringings who always said, “If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it”. He is survived by his three sons, Eddie, Danny and CJ Hoover and his daughter Alison Jenings.

His two sisters, Bessie and Mary-Kay. His grandchildren, Raina, Chloe, Seth Hoover, and Ashlynn and Avery Jenings. He will be missed by every life he touched.
