He was born on February 13, 1957, in Portsmouth, Ohio the son of Forest and Evelyn (Lancaster) Vice. He graduated from Portsmouth High School.

On September 29, 1977, he married Connie Stadnyk in Pembroke, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Forest Vice. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Connie Vice; two daughters, Heather (Ray) Garrow and Beth (Eric) Perrmann; seven grandchildren, Katlyn, Allyson, and Molly Garrow and Colton, Cullen, Cassidy and Carly Perrmann; two sisters, Glenda (Phil) Burgess and Mildred (Larry) Feazell; several nieces and nephews; and other loving relatives and friends.

Private family services are being held.
