76, of Cranston, passed away on July 26 2018 at The Miriam Hospital surrounded by his family and friends. He was the beloved husband of Georgia (Iaciofano) Zuena, loving father of Melissa Saccoccio and father in law to Bruce Saccoccio. He was the Papa to his cherished granddaughters Adriana, Sophia and Olivia Saccoccio.

He was also like a second father to Lisa Simone and Papa to Maria Pezzullo. Born in Itri, Italy he was the son of the late Rosa (Saccoccio) Zuena and Fioravante Zuena, brother of Francesca Maggiacomo, Luigia Pellegrino, Elena Supino, Maria Ialongo and the late Carlo Zuena and Bianca Piccamiglio. Before he retired he was a hard working bricklayer for several years also skilled at tile work and painting.

After retirement he worked as a valet for 2 1/2 years at VPNE at Women and Infants Hospital. He was 73 years old at the time, loved his job and working with all the younger guys and bringing them food. He also worked as a parking attendant at The Wicked Tulip Farm.

Claudio liked to hunt, fish including ice fishing, squid fishing and salt water, and dig for steamers and quahogs. He also loved to travel to Cocoa Beach, FL with his wife. Claudio was a hard worker all his life and provided for his family up until his recent hospitalization.

He was very involved in the lives of his three granddaughters attending lacrosse games, dance recitals, drawing with them and not hesitating to drive them to the nail salon or Starbucks. Claudio also enjoyed visiting with his sisters and spending time with his close friends. Claudio’s humor, smile and charm will always be remembered by those who knew him.

He was known as “Mario” by his close friend, and “Not too many bad” was a favorite phrase of his that will live on. Above all, Claudio loved his family and friends dearly and cherished the time he spent with them. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 9:45 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Holy Apostles Church, Cranston.

Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held on MONDAY MORNING from 9:00 – 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Holy Apostles Church, Memorial Society, 800 Pippin Orchard Rd.
