Clayton’s Obituary Clayton Shane Brandt, son of Tammy M. Howey and Ron Brandt, stepson of Steve Howey was born on April 26th, 1988 in Denver, CO, departed from his life on March 13, 2019 in Lincoln, Nebraska from the result of injuries caused by a car accident at the age of 30 years, 10 months and 22 days. He was baptized at Redeemer Lutheran Church on May 22, 1988 in Denver, CO. He then attended Redeemer Lutheran School in Denver until the age of 8 when he moved to (a better state) Nebraska.

In Nebraska he was raised by his grandparents Charles and Kay Endorf and attended Fairbury Public Schools. He graduated from Fairbury High School in May of 2007. Throughout his youth he participated in Fairbury Matmen for wrestling.

During School he participated in wrestling, football, and basketball. He never considered himself a long distance runner, so he did not do Track and Field. He met Kara Pecot in Crete, NE in December of 2009.

They were united in Matrimony at Grace Lutheran Church on November 20, 2018. They have one daughter Aubrie Snell, and make their home in Reynolds, NE. Clayton was employed at Smithfield in Crete, Nebraska for 8 years.

He was a woman’s self-defense instructor for one year at SCC. He received his 3rd don Blackbelt in Renzoku jiu-jitsu and his 2nd don Blackbelt in Judo from The Studio in Fairbury, Nebr. He received his personal trainer certificate from ISSA and was employed as an instructor at the Burkley Wellness Center at JCH&L.

Clayton was always willing to help a client or friend when it came to fitness and health. He was selfless, courageous and caring. He tried to treat everyone equally regardless of their background.

He was a true friend and inspiration to many. He was a dedicated son, grandson, father and husband along his journey in life. Clayton is survived by his wife Kara and daughter Aubrie, stepchildren Cora and Junior Johnson, parents Tammy and Steve Howey, Ron Brandt, Dan Gomez, Grandparents Charles and Kay Endorf, Uncle Burnie (Sonja) Endorf, many more great aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents and Uncle Clifford Endorf, and several great Uncles and Aunts. Funeral Services are March 23, 2019 at 11:00 at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairbury, officiating is Pastor Glenn Meyer. Visitation with family will be on March 22, at Gerdes Meyer Funeral Home starting at 7 PM.

Memorials will be to Family’s choice. Gerdes Meyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
