Clifford Albert “Cliffy” Smith, III, 44, of Kittanning, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018, from injuries received in an accident. He was born Oct.

9, 1973, in Kittanning, to Sally (Cogley) Beck and Clifford Albert Smith, Jr., he was a lifelong resident of Armstrong County, and a company driver for Ron Gross, Inc., for 20 plus years. He attended Furnace Run Chapel and was a member of Apollo Lodge No. 437 Free and Accepted Masons.

Cliffy loved spending time with his boys and his family and living each day to the fullest. He was always there to lend a helping hand and once you met him you never forgot him and his great smile. Cliffy loved his boys, they were always number one with him.

His words to them would be to behave and have fun in life. He enjoyed going to Disney World with his boys, camping with family and friends. His hobbies were spending time with his boys, camping, fishing, swimming, watching movies, getting ice cream, and relaxing outside.

He loved special times riding his motorcycle with his dad, and had a great love for his dog, Zasha, who was always loyal to him. He loved tinkering with anything mechanical and enjoyed working on his sons cars. He loved spending time with his uncle, Leroy, who was also his great friend along with Ron Townsend, Scott Rearick, and Tim and Cindy Walker.

Those are memories that will last a lifetime. Cliffy was always proud of his brother, Kevin, for serving his country in the U.S. Army, his strong will perseverance and selflessness will never be forgotten. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all.

Survivors include sons, Matthew Smith and Sam Smith; dog, Zasha; mother, Sally (Dave) Beck; father, Clifford “Butch” Smith and Melissa Stephens; brothers, Dan Smith and Kevin (Lisa) Smith; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Patricia and Marlin Cogley; paternal grandparents, Edna and Clifford Smith; and cousins, John Cogley, Tracy Cogley, Bradley Cogley, and Brieyonah Painter. Friends will be received from 1-3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct.

11, 2018, at the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home, 253 N. Grant Ave. , Kittanning, with Pastor Jimmy Edwards officiating.
