Clinton’s Obituary Clinton B. Matthews, 67, Waverly, died Thursday at Regional Hospital, Scranton. Born in Scranton, the son of Kathlyn Williams Matthews, Waverly and the late Arthur Matthews II, he was a graduate of Abington Heights High School in 1969 and a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Scranton. Clinton enjoyed gardening, music and woodworking.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother, Roger and wife, Marsha, Nicholson; and one niece, Gale Matthews, Torrington, Conn. ; several cousins. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit, with services by the Rev.

Scott Loomer, pastor of the Covenant Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Waverly at a later date.
