Clyde W. Kreutter, Jr., 88, of Ixonia, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018, at Marquardt Park Terrace Assisted Living in Watertown. Clyde William Kreutter, Jr., was born on September 20, 1929, to Hazel (nee Kinsel) and Clyde William Kreutter, Sr. in Decorah, Iowa. Clyde went to Washburne Trade School in Chicago, IL, where he then became an apprentice in carpentry in 1948.

He worked in carpentry until his retirement in 1991. On April 29, 1950, June D. Hasenjager and Clyde became husband and wife in Egg Harbor, WI. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ixonia and was a member of Regional Council of Carpenters #344 in Pewaukee for 60 years.

He worked on a number of projects over the years, including building three houses for family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He also loved raising animals on his hobby farm and going to the lake house up north.

Clyde is survived by his wife of 68 years, June; children, Diane (Paul) Fendt of Watertown, Beverly (Bill) Klein of Columbus, Clyde W. (Tara Berera) Kreutter III of Helenville; grandchildren, Alan Fendt, Nicholas Fendt, Joseph (Briana) Fendt; Charles Klein, Christine Klein; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Allen (Audrey) Hasenjager, Donald (Barbara) Hasenjager, Glenn (Penny) Hasenjager, Leon (Rosemary) Hasenjager, Clyde (Linda) Hasenjager; sisters-in-law, Audrey (Elton) Neinas, Elaine (Donald) Neinas, Linda (Kerry) Moore, Mary Jane Kreutter, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceding Clyde in death include his parents; son in infancy, Keith Kreutter; sisters, Evelyn Gessler, Eva Diggs Dorothy Emery, Marilyn Thompson, Mary Lou Walter; brother, Bill Kreutter. A funeral service was held on Friday, August 31, 2018, at 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ixonia (W1955 Gopher Hill Rd.

) with Rev. Joel Free officiating. Family and friends gathered at the Church from 1 p.m. until the time of service.

Burial was in Zion Ev. Lutheran Cemetery in West Jacksonport. Memorials may be made to Zion Ev.

Lutheran Church in Egg Harbor or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ixonia. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown served the family. Huehns Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Sturgeon Bay assisted with committal services.
