Collins “Doogie” Lawrence LeBlanc Jr. 38, was called to his heavenly place of rest, at Opelousas General Hospital on Sunday, February 17, 2019. Doogie was born June 5, 1980, in Lafayette, Louisiana, to Collins and Carolyn Leblanc, but was a lifelong resident of Opelousas Louisiana. He was an outstanding athlete in football and basketball at Northwest High School from 1994 -1998.

Southern University offered him a four-year scholarship to play Collegiate Football. Although his dream of playing on a collegiate level was short lived, being a loving husband to Crystal Leblanc and devoted father to Carson, Caroline, and Caidy is what brought him the most joy. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 10 years, Crystal LeBlanc; one son, Carson Liam LeBlanc; two daughters, Caroline Alyse LeBlanc and Caidy Maret LeBlanc; parents, Collins Leblanc Sr. and Carolyn Richard Leblanc of Opelousas, L;, four sisters, Likia LeBlanc- Thomas (John) of Lafayette, LA, Charlotte LeBlanc Craven (Jimmie III) of Lafayette, LA, Rekeycha Leday (Cedric Sr.), of Fort Polk, LA and Kelly Michelle LeBlanc of Carencro, LA; one brother, Keenon Jarell LeBlanc (Michael) of Lafayette, LA; parents-in-love, Mary Beaner (Russell) of Shreveport LA and Anthony Mckind Sr.; two brothers-in-love, Anthony “JJ” Mckind Jr. (Contessa) and Arquez Whitaker; one sister-in-love, Quadren Mckind all of Nacogdoches TX; five nieces, Kylie, Kenya, Hailey, Alexia, and Brittany; ten nephews, Kylin, Khaden, Cameron, Markell, Gabriel, Brean, Jimmie IV, Derrick, Karon and Cedric Jr.; one Godson, Cameron Sonn; one Goddaughter, Nyla Randall; Godmother, Phyllis Richard and Godfather, Michael Miller.

He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends to treasure. Collins was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willis and Isabella Richard, Josene Leblanc and Eula Guillory; one niece, Johnae Likia; three uncles, Gentry Richard, Joseph Felton James and Miller Chevis; three cousins, Dionel Richard, Jowahn James, and Jabari James. Viewing will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 7 AM to 12:30 PM at Williams Funeral Home, 817 East South St., Opelousas, LA.
