Obituary for Concepcion Garcia Concepcion “Connie” Garcia of Santa Barbara, CA passed away peacefully on Monday, June 18 at the age of 96, surrounded by family. She is survived by her sons, Ronald and George Garcia; brothers Albert and Jesse Acuna; her sister, Maria Castillo, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cruz Garcia; son, Jimmy Garcia; daughter Sandy Garcia; brothers, Manuel, Rudy, Fred and Henry Acuna; sisters, Mary Louise Torres and Ramona Acuna.

As a matriarch of the family, she helped raise not only her siblings but also numerous nieces and nephews throughout the years. Connie and her husband created Garcia Auto-Wrecking, a successful business run with the help of their sons. They also bought and managed several real estate ventures.

She enjoyed traveling but most importantly loved spending time with her family. She will be missed and always be remembered for her kindness and generosity. Rosary will be held on Monday, June 25, 7:00 pm at the Welch-Ryce-Haider downtown chapel.

Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 10:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Upcoming Events Rosary 2018 JUN 25.
