Concetta Jane Messina Imhof, 95, passed from this life February 23, 2019. She was born January 28,1924 to Sicilian immigrant parents Onofrio (Norman) Messina and Mary Tunello Messina. She married Dr Thomas Anthony Imhof on January 8, 1944 and was pre-deceased by him and her siblings; Rosalie, Joseph, Carmelo, Paul, Janie, John, Marie, Sam, Vincent, Rose & Anthony.

She is survived by her children Joseph (Debbie) Imhof, Mary (Bob) Rolen, Jim (Judy) Imhof, John Michael (Charlotte) Imhof, Dorothy Imhof, & Gina (Charlie) Starr; her grandchildren Theresa Rolen Long (David) Miller, John Rolen, Michael (Heather) Imhof, Natalie Imhof (Robert) Krenz, Michelle Imhof (Jesse) Mattox, Juliette Imhof, Jason White, & Michael Starr; and her great-grand children Thomas, Chloë, Colemon, Gavin, Nicholas, Madeline, Mila, Stella, Safia, Omar, Roland, Nolan & Emilia. Mama, Nonna, Miss Janie…was a loving, generous woman whose charity knew no bounds. If you needed something and she had it, it was yours.

She was kind to everyone and never missed an opportunity to give a compliment even to a stranger. She was devoted to her family above all else and will be greatly missed. Services celebrating her life will be held at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Ensley, AL on Thursday February 28.

Visitation 9:30-10:30, Rosary 10:30-11:00, Mass 11:00 with graveside services at Valhalla Cemetery following Mass.
