Joyce Elaine Holland Oglesby, age 89 of Ensley Alabama was born on December 11, 1929. Surrounded by her loved ones at her homes, Joyce went home to be with the Lord , on February 17, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Linne Holland; brothers, James and Franklin Holland and one sister, Dorothy Hayes.

She is survived by one son, Phillip Oglesby; two grandchildren, Jessica (Chris Mooney) Oglesby and Justin Oglesby; two great grandchildren, Caleb and Colton Mooney; two sisters, Carolyn Boman and Rosemary Holland; two brothers, Edward (Jean) Holland and Thomas (Mary) Holland; six nieces and nephews, Daphne (Richard) Powell, Tammy (Joe) Whitaker, Dan Smith, Ricky (Stephanie) Holland, Randy Holland and Eddie (Doris) Holland; many great nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama or the Susan G. Komen Foundation in Joyce’s name; as Joyce fought a long and courageous fight of her own against Breast Cancer. Funeral arrangements are private.
