She was born in Pringle, South Dakota on April 17, 1947. Connie was a lifelong resident of Wyoming.

She lived in Cheyenne, Laramie, New Castle, Hanna, and Rawlins. She also lived in Ogden, Utah for a short time. Connie worked to get her LPN.

She also worked at the retirement facility in Rawlins, Wyoming for a few years. Connie survived breast cancer. She enjoyed playing her guitar and listening to music.

She enjoyed playing her guitar until her illness made it hard for her to continue to do so. Connie is survived by her 2 sons, Gary Ky Davis and his wife Luz Davis of California and Shawn Allen Davis of Nebraska. Grandchildren: Evan Davis, Scott Davis, Brett Davis, Corey Davis, Connor Davis and Alexis Davis.

Step Grandchildren: Cheyenne, Nico and Tiffany. Connie was a sister to Betty Jane Layton Carpenter, Dorothy Layton Farrell, Pauline Layton Coy, Maxine Layton Nest, Arlene Layton Sullivan all of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Janice Layton Neslund of Holdridge, Nebraska and Phyllis and Violet. Her brother Keith Layton of Wheatland, Wyoming and her brother Robert Layton.

Connie’s parents were Zella Maude Hollers Layton and Albert Manuel Layton of South Dakota. A special thank you to Kenna Hill, Connie’s guardian. Kenna shared that Connie was very precious to her and that she was a remarkable woman.

Kenna was very involved with Connie for a very long time. A celebration of life will be held at a later time. Connie’s final resting place will be Edgemont, South Dakota.
