Obituary for Connie Lee Wagoner CORTLAND – Connie Lee Wagoner, 73, passed away peacefully at 2:25 a.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the Cortland Health Care Center following a long illness. She was born in Malinta, Ohio on March 26, 1945 the daughter of Clarence Eugene and Hildegarde Anna (Haas) Peters. She was a graduate of Mt.

Vernon High School and The Ohio State University where she received a Bachelors Degree. She worked as a medical dictator and transcriber at the Knox Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon, for a short time at Sharon Regional Hospital and in the cancer registry department at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

She was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church. Connie is survived by her husband, Charles Wagoner whom she married on July 27, 1990; children, Jill (Dennis) Oder of Columbus, Danny Hatton II of Mansfield, Harold Wagoner of Niles, Terri (Donald) Goforth of Warren, Melissa (James) Berg of Bristolville, Rose Polta of Vienna, Becky (Steve) Stehura of Fowler, April Agne of Vienna; granddaughter, Mackenzie Oder; 19 additional grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; siblings, William Peters, Bernard Peters, Joe (Grace) Peters, Martha Cisco, Joyce (Bill) Belton, Mary Lou (John) Sapp, Barbara Toth, Clarissa (Burdette) Krohn, Judy Arrington all from the Mt. Vernon, and Belleville, Ohio area.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Dan Hatton; step-son, David Wagoner; siblings, Carl Peters, Wulfram Peters, Carol Sharp, Burga Nixon. Calling hours will be Friday November 2, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, Niles. The Funeral will be Saturday November 3, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Pastor Garey McCartney and Pastor Lawrence Hardesty will officiate. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center.
