Connie Lou McLain, 71 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the Adams Lane Care Center. She was born in Phoenix, AZ to Edwin Wymer and Laurel Hern. She belonged to the Sweet Adalines, and worked as a Secretary for McKenzie Drilling, Hilltop Florist, Putnam Transfer, and Millers flower shop.

Connie is survived by her daughter Lynette McLain of Zanesville. She will be deeply missed by her brothers, Clarence “Tink” Bleakney, Leverette “Butch” Bleakney, Darryl Wymer, Steve Wymer, her sisters, Carolyn Taylor, Brenda Denbow, and Sharon Wentworth, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry McLain, her parents and her, her brother, Dayle Wymer, her sister, Millie Nelson, sister, Joan Harris brother-in-law, Dale McLain, As well as her best friend, Betty Pidcock Clark.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making memorial contributions in Connie’s name to the Perry Twp. Vol. Fire Department, 4625 Boggs Rd, Zanesville, OH 43701 or to the Zanesville American Legion, 27 S 3rd St, Zanesville, OH 43701.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the following Divita Dialysis Center, Dr. Raul Hernandez and Christy and Lanie, the Adams Lane Care Center, and Buckeye Hospice for their help and care of Connie. Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours from 11 to 1 pm Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord. Funeral Services will begin at 1 pm with Pastor Rick Bourne officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery. www.
