Constance “Connie” Elaine (Tratchel) Conn Wilson, 72, of Newton died on Friday, October 19, 2018, at Newton Healthcare Center. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 26, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, October 25, at the funeral home.

Memorials to the Jasper County Animal Rescue League may be left at the funeral home. Connie, the daughter of Bruce and Evelyn (DeBruyn) Tratchel, was born on July 23, 1946. She grew up in Galesburg and Lynnville and attended Lynnville-Sully schools.

In 1965, Connie was united in marriage with Robert Conn and they were blessed with two children, Jodi and David. She lived in Newton during her adult life and worked at Thomberts until her retirement. In 1988, Connie married Jerry Wilson.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, her dogs, fishing, crafting, cooking, and trying new recipes. Connie is survived by her children, Jodi (James) Holloway of Newton and David (Julia) Conn of Newton; grandchildren, Lance (Lyndsey) Holloway of Monroe, Jenna Conn of Waterloo, and Dustin Conn of Newton; great-grandchild, Sloan Holloway of Monroe; her siblings, Sandy Conn of Newton, James (Jamie) Wilson of Marshalltown, Robert (Donna) Wilson of Mingo, and Carole (Jeff) Bailey of Chariton; and her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Wilson in 2008; and brother, Steve Tratchel.
