Cora made her journey to the Spirit World on July 16, 2018 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD. Cora is survived by her husband, Clinton Bird Hat of Ashland, MT; children, Heidi Merrill of Kyle, SD, Vincent Merrill of Rapid City, SD, Angel Merrill of El Mirage, AZ, Belle Merrill of Rapid City, SD, Larry Merrill and Ransom Merrill both of Phoenix, AZ, and Winter Rose Merrill of Rapid City, SD; brother Earl Thunder Bull of Pine Ridge, SD; sisters, Bernadine (Bill) May of Casa Grande, AZ, Susan Thunder Bull, Phyllis Campbell, Dorothy Thunder Bull, and Amanda (Jim) Christensen all of Kyle, SD; hunka sister, Eunice Nassar of Pittsburgh, PA; hunka brother, John Conally of Pittsburgh, PA; and grandchildren, Anthony Pena and Petra Kyr, Alexandria Gonzales, Ella Merrill, Pretty Plume Merrill Tatanka Merrill, Wiyaka Merrill, Cameron Young, Aiden Richey, Trinity Merrill, and Spring Rain Merrill.
