Cora Rae Barnes age 87, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Willow Brook Christian Home. She was born to Lester and Marie (Shaver) Tinnell on July 25, 1931 in Monongah, WVA. Cora grew up in Fairmont, WVA then moved to Massillon, Ohio after marrying her late husband, Allen Durrett Barnes.

She retired as a manager for AT&T after 30 years of service. Cora was a member of Worthington United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband; sister, Barbara Tinnell; brothers, John and Lester Tinnell, Jr. Cora is survived by her son, Michael; daughter, Rebecca (Jeff) Pinyerd; grandchildren, Zachary and Jenna Barnes, Andrew and Jacob (Emily) Shafer; great-grandchildren, William and Lillian Shafer; brother, Charles (Pat) Tinnell; sister-in-law, Penny Tinnell; many nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington where the family will receive friends one hour prior. Private family inurnment. In lieu of flowers, contributions, if desired, may be made to Worthington United Methodist Church, 600 High St., Worthington, OH 43085.
