Cornelia Smith Raymond March 24, 1949 – February 17, 2019 Cornelia Smith Raymond (Dimples) departed this life on February 17, 2019. She was born March 24, 1949 in Emporia, VA to Pauleen Smith and Latimore Jordan. Cornelia was a member of Garden of Prayer No.

7, Vision of Faith Ministries of Roanoke. She received her education from Lucy Addison High School in Roanoke. She enjoyed softball, especially being a part of the Zodiac Softball team.

She also loved bowling. She enjoyed being around her family and friends and was sure to put a smile on your face and cause you to laugh until you hurt. Dimples was a loveable person and formed a special bond with many, often times giving each person a nickname and making everyone feel like they were her favorite, she loved everyone.

Cornelia was married to William Raymond. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pauleen Smith and Latimore Jordan. Cornelia’s spirit will remain in her son Lorenza Smith (Lauriy Querio), her precious granddaughters, Ebony Smith and Jayla Smith, adopted sister, Sylena Cammack, very special cousins, Jessie Smith (Iverna Smith) of Roanoke, Ronnie Smith, Carlton Smith and Gloria Daniels and Alease Turner all of Baltimore MD and Janice Bullock and Otelia Davis of Emporia, VA, very special friends, Jacqueline Williams of Roanoke, Pat Moore of Phoenix, Arizona and her co-workers at Valley Metro Transit in Arizona, Oscar, Sue, Theresa and Kay; a very loving church family at River of Life Tabernacle and sister Audrey.

Dimples as she was affectionally known, will be missed by all those who had the opportunity to have known and loved her.
