Cristobal Bohorquez, 81, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018 in St. Michael’s Medical Center, Newark, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Mr. Bohorquez was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador and immigrated to this country in 1973 and lived in Newark, NJ.

He has lived in Kearny for the last 25 years. Cristobal was a machine operator at Shop Rite in Kearny for 10 years before retiring 4 years ago. Prior, he worked in the same capacity for Acme Tool in Somerset, NJ for 35 years.

He is survived by his wife, Elena (nee Orellena) Bohorquez; four children, Gina Santiago, Azucena Bohorquez, Luis Bohorquez and Manuel Bohorquez; six grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
