Obituary for Curtis D. Franklin Curtis Dale Franklin, age 79, of Ocala, FL passed away peacefully at home, Saturday, July 8, 2018. Born January 22, 1939 in Cleveland, son of the late Dale and Leona Franklin. Curt was a U.S. Air Force veteran and served in a K-9 unit in Spain.

Curt was a car & racing enthusiast and worked in the automotive industry his entire career-retiring as a Director of Marketing. He was recognized by the American Hot Rod Association for setting a world drag racing record in 1967. Curt loved his family, race cars, photography, history and Cleveland sports.

Curt is survived by his 3 sons, John, Scott and Jeff; his brother Ken; nieces Adrienne and Lori; and many beloved friends and cousins. A Celebration of Life gathering will take place from 1-3pm Saturday, July 28th at the Sunset Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park 6245 Columbia Rd. , North Olmsted, OH 44070.
