Obituary for George K. Kevesdy George K. Kevesdy, 85, of Fairview Park, passed away July 1, 2018. He was born in Lakewood, the beloved son of the late Charles and Martha (nee Prokopec) Kevesdy. George is the loving father of Beth Strohm, Kevin (Mary) and K. Mark (Kim) Kevesdy; cherished grandfather of Kyle Strohm, Ashley (Ben) Seitz, Alex Kevesdy, Morgan (Jay) Toole, Jack (Ellie) Kevesdy, Meghan (Mike) Metcaf, Luke Kevesdy, Keegan Kevesdy and Ella Kevesdy; adored great-grandfather of Jack-Henry and Graham Seitz, Peyton Kevesdy and Connor Metcaf; dear brother of Michael (Stella) Kevesdy, William (Judy) Kevesdy (deceased) and Michelle “Aunt Mike” (John) Rompel; uncle of many.

George graduated from Lakewood High and enlisted in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged as a Corporal in 1955, transferring to the 6th Marine Corps Reserve and Recruitment district until 1960. He retired from Pankow & Associates as a Sales Rep.

George was a strong supporter of all Cleveland Sports Teams and an avid fan of the Indians and The Ohio State Buckeyes. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 11AM-12PM at the Sunset Chapel in Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd. , North Olmsted, where funeral services will commence on Thursday at 12PM.

Interment to follow with committal service and military honors in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka KS 66675-8517.
