Obituary for Dalton James Prater Dalton James Prater, a resident of Fate, TX, for four years, passed away June 12, 2018, at the age of 18. He was born June 24, 1999, in Waco, TX, to Ronnie Lee and Pamela Jean (Murray) Prater. Dalton graduated from Rockwall/Heath High School in 2017, and was a skilled athlete, playing high school football.

He also played soccer and was an excellent swimmer. Dalton made the most out of life and especially loved fast cars. He was currently working in construction and was a skilled carpenter.

Those who knew him loved his cheerful personality. Dalton would do anything for anybody and cared deeply about his family and friends. He is survived by his parents: Ronnie and Pam Prater; brother: Devon Prater and fiancée Samantha; grandparents: Sam and Nancy Morton and Judy and Charlie Sotelo; aunts and uncles: Debra and Brian Karp, Linda Clemmons, Cynthia Whittington, Mark Murphy, John and Carla Sanders and Larry Tipton; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather: Thomas Francis Murray; and grandmother: Barbara C. Smith. A celebration of Dalton’s life will be held 1:00pm, Tuesday, June 19, 2018, in Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating.
