Obituary Service Details DANA E. AMES SR. 62, Of Ft. Wayne, passed away October 19, 2017 at Parkview Hospital Ft.

Wayne. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Peggy, and four children; Robert (LaKreisha) Woodward, Zora (Michael) Howe, Dana (Rachael) Ames Jr., all of Ft. Wayne, and Robin (Darryn) Jarrett of Lexington KY.

Also surviving are his brother’s; Wayne (Sherry), Dean and Jimmy, as well as sister Tammy and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded I death by his parents Wallace R. and Zora D., and his brother Robert. His many grandchildren Chris, Tabi, Liza, Cheyanne, William, Cody, Ronnie, Dana, Kierstan, Gabbie, Rose, Dakota, Megan, Noah, Vivian, Jacobi, and Levi and great grandchildren, Aiden, Adela Kylee continue his legacy.

Though a man of simple taste he will be remembered for his undying love for his wife, his sense of humor as well as his many random phone calls whenever he heard a joke to tell anyone. No matter what he did from his travels as the ice cream man to the funny man with a new dirty joke, one thing is for sure……he will be missed but not forgotten as he is in each child, grandchild and person he ever encountered throughout his long life. No services will be held.
