Bright, age 55 of Austin, Minnesota, died at his home on Wednesday, January 23, 2019. Dana was born January 2, 1964 in Columbus, Ohio. He was raised by his mother Janis (Wilson) and Robert Haugland.

He graduated from High School in 1982. Dana married Kari Burgdorf on September 28, 2001 in Waseca, Minnesota. He worked at All American Foods in Waseca for over 20 years until his illness.

Dana liked to go fishing and camping and enjoyed listening to hard rock music while throwing back some beers with family and friends. He loved those Vikings. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janis Haugland and his son, Alex Jay Bright.

Dana is survived by his wife, Kari Bright, Austin, Minnesota; sons, Dillon, Austin, and Jacob Bright all of Austin, Minnesota; step-son, Brandon Burgdorf, Owatonna, Minnesota; Cody Burgdorf, Austin, Minnesota who was like a step-son to Dana, and father, Robert Haugland, Phoenix, Arizona. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 26th at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel with The Reverend Shari Mason officiating. Visitation will be at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Saturday one hour before the service.

Memorials are preferred to the family.
