Obituary for Daniel J. Morrissey Daniel J. Morrissey, Sr., 67, of Millcreek, passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family on Monday October 29, 2018. He was born in Erie on September 9, 1951 a son of the late John W. and Irma Stock Morrissey. Daniel graduated from Academy High School and attended Louisiana Tech University.

He worked at Penn Central Railroad, LOC, Builder’s Support, and Fairview Hardware. Most recently he worked at Presque Isle Downs until his retirement. He enjoyed country western movies and was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Davis Morrissey; two sons, Michael Morrissey and Daniel Morrissey, Jr. and his wife, Laura, all of Erie; six grandchildren, John, Adriana, Isabelle, Caleb, Skylar, and James Morrissey; one brother, John Morrissey and his wife, Mary Jo, of Florida; one sister, Sue Stephens and her husband, Tom, of Washington D.C.; and many nieces and nephews. In accordance with Dan’s wishes, calling hours will not be observed. A memorial service will be held at a future date.
