passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 10, 2018. Dan was born in Hartland, WI of late Carol (Crosby) Burns and Frederick W Burns Jr on April 2, 1958. He grew up loving the Northwoods and all of its beauty.

In his youth he enjoyed hunting on the family’s land near Crivitz, driving ATVs on the trails, and spending his nights by the light of the bonfire. A machinist by trade, he has worked at several machine shops in the valley over a long career. He will be remembered for his love of cats, Harley-Davidson motorcycles and his unmatched sense of humor he shared with everyone he met.

He spent his spare time wood working, sharing his love of history, and spending time with his three children and six grandchildren. He is preceded in eternal life by his mother Carol (Crosby) Burns and father Frederick W Burns, as well as his beloved cats, Murry, Fang, and Precious. He is loved and survived by his wife, Julie (Napp) Burns, brother Jeff (Nancy) Burns of Las Vegas, brother Fritz Burns of Sus, and sister Judy (Ken) Inhoff of Sus.

He is also survived by his children Joshua (Jenny) Noll, Molly Fuller, Zachariah (Danae) Fuller, and grandchildren Lauryn Reader, Logan Noll, Grayson Reader, Lexi Noll, Benjamin Fuller, and Jocelyn Fuller, along with his cats Tootsie, Sugar, Castle and Tiger. A memorial will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 5:00pm-8:00pm to share loving memories of Dan at Brettschneider Trettin-Nickel Funeral Home.
