Danny Smith age 68 a resident of Georgetown TN, passed away Monday February 4, 2019 at the family residence. Danny was the son of the late Dorothy Smith Parker and was also preceded in death by his sister Susie Hale. Danny was a retired Meigs County Sheriff’s Deputy with over 18 years of service.

And was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War as a Sergeant. He was a member of Prospect Church of God and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 8 years Terri Smith, his sons Michael Smith and Dustin Lankford and his wife Kayla, his daughter Carey Andrews and her husband Jeremy, his grandchildren Brayden, Gavin, Mallory and Ava Andrews, Corbin Lankford and Sophia Martin, his uncle JC Smith, his brothers Jeff Parker and Eddie Parker along with many nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life Service will be held Friday at 1 o’clock at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel with Pastor Timothy Gann and Rev. Jimmy Patterson officiating. The interment will follow at McInturf Cemetery with Jimmy Patterson, Ronald McDowell, Steve Messer, Doug Hamblin, Dewayne Lewallen and Kurt Schenebel serving as casket bearers.
